ALPHAPub Crawler is in alpha testing. Some features aren’t switched on yet and things may change.

Help & support

Need a hand?

Everything here is also inside the app under Profile → Help & Support. It's on the website too so you can reach it without signing in — including the ride links and the helplines, which are the ones that matter at 1am.

Common questions

The ones people actually ask

Why are Basic, Advanced and Legendary locked?

Baby Crawler is free for everyone. The other three open with a one-time unlock — $5 for Basic, $10 for Advanced, $15 for Legendary, or $20 for all three together — or on their own once you've earned enough Crawl Points (50 / 300 / 1,200). Purchases open at launch through Google Play and the App Store; during alpha, testers open tiers with an unlock code (Profile → Help & Support → Unlock code). You can still upload crawls of any tier.

How do I earn Crawl Points?

Every bar is worth 3 points when your phone confirms you're there — the GPS check-in or the bar's QR code. Points bank when you finish the crawl. Skipped or unconfirmed stops pay nothing, and repeating a crawl you've already finished doesn't pay again. On a Sponsored crawl, the sponsoring bar's stop pays double (6 points). If a crawl's tier isn't open on your account you can still go along for the ride, but you won't bank points.

What's the difference between Events and the Home tiers?

Events are group crawls with a set start time — sign up and go together. The four tiers on Home are for planning your own night out, whenever you like.

Can I see the crawls on a map?

Yes. In any crawl library, tap Map under the sort and distance buttons. Each pin is a bar where a crawl starts — tap it to see those crawls and open one. The app remembers whether you like Cards or Map. A green glow is the crawl you're on right now, blue is the one you pinned as your next crawl, and gold marks a Sponsored crawl — the same colours on the cards. Sorting by Fully Walkable or Needs a Ride also filters the map to just those crawls.

My Local Rank looks wrong.

Local rankings use your home location and the radius you pick on the Ranks screen (5–100 miles). Make sure your home location is set in Profile → Account Details.

I invited a friend but they're not on the crawl.

Invites are requests. Your friend gets it the next time they open the app and joins only when they tap Accept. You'll be told either way.

How do teams earn points?

A team banks points when at least two teammates do the same crawl together and every one of them checks all the way through.

My photo or comment isn't showing on the bar.

Every photo and comment is reviewed before it's shown to everyone. Yours will say "pending review" until then. Anything with nudity or abuse is rejected.

I own a bar. How do I edit my listing?

Claiming your bar is free. Go to getpubcrawler.com/owners (or tap "Manage it in the owner portal" on your bar's card in the app) and sign in with the claim code we issue you. A free listing gets 2 photos, a short blurb and check-in QR codes. Bar Owner Packs are optional extras.

Can I delete a crawl or event I uploaded?

Yes. Open it and tap "Delete this crawl" (or event) at the bottom. Anyone on it or signed up for it is notified and shown similar crawls with some of the same bars.

Can the app buzz my phone?

Yes, if you turn it on. Go to Profile → Phone notifications → Turn on and allow notifications when your phone asks. You'll get a buzz, even with the app closed, when someone invites you to a crawl or asks to join yours, sends a friend request, or asks to join a team you run. You can switch each kind off on the same screen. On an iPhone, add Pub Crawler to your Home Screen first.

How do I report or block someone?

Tap on any photo or comment, or Report / Block on a person's profile. Reports go to a moderator and are reviewed within 24 hours; blocking hides that person's posts, requests and invites from you right away, and they aren't told.

How do I delete a comment I posted?

Open the bar's card, find your comment and tap the ✕ next to it. Only you (and our moderators) can remove your posts.

Can I get a refund on a tier unlock?

Unlocks are one-time and stay on your account for good. If something went wrong with a purchase, contact us below with the email on your account and we'll sort it out.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Profile → Help & Support → Common questions, open How do I delete my account? and tap Delete my account now. Your profile, points, crawls you uploaded, ratings, photos, comments, QR check-ins and phone-notification sign-up are removed right away and can't be brought back.

A ride is always one tap away

Mid-crawl, every stop's page has one-tap Uber and Lyft buttons pre-filled with your route. You can also open either app straight from here:

Know your limit (estimate only)

A rough idea, not a breathalyzer

This estimates blood alcohol content from weight, sex, drinks and time. Real BAC depends on a lot more — food, medication, how your own body handles it — and this is not a substitute for a breathalyzer. When in doubt, don't drive.

A "standard drink" ≈ a 12oz beer, a 5oz glass of wine, or a 1.5oz shot of liquor.

Sobriety & support

No judgment, ever

These are here if you or someone you're out with wants them — tonight, or any time.

Talk to a person

Inside the app there's a form under Profile → Help & Support that files a ticket against your account, which is the fastest route because we can see what happened. From out here, email works just as well — tell us the crawl or bar name, and the email on your account if you have one.
