Effective date: October 10, 2026 (previously September 22, 2026 — updated for sponsored crawls, double points and alpha unlock codes)
These terms are the deal between you and PUB CRAWLER LLC ("Pub Crawler," "we," "us"), El Paso, Texas, for using the Pub Crawler app and website. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Pub Crawler is only for people who are 21 or older and legally allowed to drink where they are. You confirm this when you sign up. If we learn you're under 21, we'll close the account.
Pub Crawler is a game and a planning tool. It does not sell alcohol, does not serve it, and does not encourage anyone to drink more than they should. You are responsible for your own drinking, your safety, and the safety of the people with you. In particular:
We are not responsible for what happens to you or anyone else because of drinking, walking, riding, or anything you do during a crawl.
One account per person, in your own name, with a real email. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your login. Tell us right away at support@getpubcrawler.com if you think someone else is using it.
You keep ownership of the ratings, comments, photos, crawls and events you post. By posting them you give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to show, store, copy and moderate them inside the service, and to show them to other users, for as long as your account exists (and in backups for a short time after).
Everything you post is reviewed before others can see it. Don't post:
We can remove content, reject it, or close accounts for breaking these rules, with or without notice. Anyone can report a post, a person or a crawl from inside the app; reports are reviewed within a day. You can also block anyone.
Crawl Points, ranks, team points and tier unlocks are features of the game with no cash value. They can't be sold, traded or transferred, and we can adjust or reset them to fix bugs or abuse.
Basic, Advanced and Legendary tiers can be opened either by earning points or by a one-time purchase made through Google Play or the Apple App Store (currently $5, $10 and $15 respectively, or $20 for all three together). Prices may change; the price shown in the app at the time of purchase is the one that applies. Purchases are final except where the store's own refund rules or the law say otherwise; the store handles the payment and any refund. A tier you've opened stays open on your account.
Points are paid only for stops where your phone confirmed you were there (the GPS check-in or the bar's QR code), and they bank when you finish the crawl. Skipped stops and repeat runs of the same crawl pay nothing.
Alpha. Pub Crawler is in alpha testing. Features may change or be switched off, and in-app purchases aren't open yet. During alpha we hand out unlock codes that open tiers. Unlock codes and any promo codes are for personal use, one per person, can be redeemed once, and can be cancelled if they're abused.
Bars that buy a Bar Owner Pack get crawls built around their bar. These crawls are labeled "Sponsored" in the app, and while the bar's pack is active, checking in at that bar on that crawl earns double points (shown on the stop as "2×"). Team points aren't doubled. A sponsored crawl can list more than one sponsoring bar. Sponsors don't pay you, don't see who you are, and get only totals of check-ins — see the Privacy Policy. We can change or end double points, like any other part of the game.
If you claim a bar's listing you confirm you're authorized to speak for that business. Claiming a listing is free. Bar Owner Packs are a business subscription covered by the separate Bar Owner Pack Terms. Claiming a listing doesn't give you any rights over other users' ratings, comments or photos of your bar, beyond reporting them like anyone else.
"Get an Uber" and "Get a Lyft" open those companies' apps. The ride, its price and what happens in the car are between you and them under their terms. Map links open Google Maps. Walking distances and "walkable" labels are estimates from map coordinates and can be wrong — look at the actual route and use judgment.
Bar details come from public sources, bar owners and other users. They can be out of date. Check that a bar is open before you go.
Use the app while driving; try to break into it, scrape it, or overload it; pretend to be someone else; use it for anything illegal; or help anyone else do these things.
You can delete your account any time in the app (Profile → Help & Support → Common questions → "How do I delete my account?") or at getpubcrawler.com/delete-account. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk. If we shut the service down, we'll give reasonable notice.
The app is provided as-is. We don't promise it will always work, be accurate, or be available. To the fullest extent the law allows, PUB CRAWLER LLC is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the app or from anything you do during a crawl, and our total liability to you for anything else is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $50, whichever is greater. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
You agree to cover us for claims other people bring because of content you posted or rules you broke.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in El Paso County, Texas, and you agree to that venue. Small-claims court is always available to either of us.
We may update these terms. For meaningful changes we'll show a notice in the app; continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.
